Curried Turkey Salad

This reminds me a little of a Waldorf salad. It's very tasty. Serve it with sour cream biscuits or pretzel sticks and you'll think salad is boring.

Spinach, Blueberry and Blue Cheese Salad

Yet another version of my spinach and berry salad. I love blueberries. I love blue. Anyway... This one is really good, like very addictive and healthy too!

The photo will show you how much I like blueberries - they never go to waste. I had a whole blueberry meal that day.

Strawberry, Avocado and Spinach Salad

I got to say - first time I heard about mixing fruit in salads, I was rather undecided. I soon came round and it's become a staple for my summer salads. It had taste, texture and variety and you can use whatever you have at hand, even during the winter period. Now though, it's summer as I'm writing this very article and I bought fresh strawberries from the market so I added some to my salad.

I'm also a huge fan of fresh spinach. It does go well with fresh berries - strawberries but also blueberries. Stay tuned for more recipes.

Vegetarian Bagel Sandwich

I love bagels. Any moment of the day... For breakfast, cinnamon raisin bagels with cream cheese or gooseberry jam are my favorite. For lunch, with cream cheese with dill, smoked salmon and cucumber, because they're easy to pack. As a snack or sometimes for a breakfasty dinner with nutella spread. How can one possibly say no bagels?

This one here has no meat, hence the vegetarian bagel designation, but you can easily add turkey.

Ranch Dressing

Essential to so many recipes and yet so easy to make. You can make your own and frankly, it's so much better when homemade! Use for patties and crab cakes, rissoles, fried veggies, fried seafood...

Fried Green Tomatoes

Summer is coming through (hopefully!) and I found fresh green tomatoes at my local store so guess what? I made fried green tomatoes!

I had been wanting to do this ever since I watched that wonderful movie, back in… phew! Can’t remember! Anyway…

I basically used the same recipe I use for zucchini fries. I baked them so I wouldn’t have to fry them in a pan. They were so good! Sigh…
