Strawberry, Avocado and Spinach Salad

I got to say - first time I heard about mixing fruit in salads, I was rather undecided. I soon came round and it's become a staple for my summer salads. It had taste, texture and variety and you can use whatever you have at hand, even during the winter period. Now though, it's summer as I'm writing this very article and I bought fresh strawberries from the market so I added some to my salad.
I'm also a huge fan of fresh spinach. It does go well with fresh berries - strawberries but also blueberries. Stay tuned for more recipes.
strawberries
fresh spinach
avocado
any kind of seeds or almonds, broiled and chopped
dressing:
honey (a drop or two!)
cider vinegar
walnut oil
salt and pepper
Cut the strawberries. Shred the spinach, cube the avocado. Add the seeds and dressing.
Seeds: I'm partial to a mixture of zucchini, soy, pine nuts and sunflower seeds but you can use any kind you have at home or replace them with pecans, for instance.
I usually serve the dressing on the side (do I sound like Meg Ryan in When Harry met Sally?!) or I carry it in a tiny mason jar if I take this salad to work.
