Breakfast › Poptarts and Hand Pies
My first encounter with those little wonders happened a few years ago. I was introduced to them by a friend of mine in Sacramento who was totally shocked I had never heard of those before. Can you imagine? A grown up woman, mother of two, who'd never had a single poptart in her life?! Since then, my eldest son got to know them as well and loved them too. Must be genetic! Anyway, you don't find any in France and desperate circumstances lead to desperate measures... I learnt to make them from scratch. My favorite ones are filled with blueberry jam and topped with sprinkles. My runner up is filled with light brown sugar and cinnamon and topped with a maple glaze. Thing is, whatever your tastes, once you've mastered the technic to make them, there's no limit to what you can do with hand pies and poptarts. Have fun!
