Salads and healthy stuff

All the healthy recipes in this section are things I make for myself on a regular basis and take with me to work. They're easy to make. Prepare them in the evening. For salads, just remember that most of them need the dressing to be added just before serving.

I use plastic containers or mason jars for the salads and tiny containers for the dressing or sauce.

If served at home, I usually use a tiny bowl for the dressing or sauce that I set next to the plate so guests can add the dressing at the last minute.

You will find everything you need in the bread section to add carbs to these recipes and make your meal healthy and whole.

As for the dressings, you will probably note I often use walnut oil. It's my favorite and I much prefer it to olive oil which is hard to digest and sometimes doesn't give a nice flavoring to salads. However, there are plenty of other oils you can use. Pick your own favorite!

I also did not specify which salt and pepper I use because you probably have your own favorite too. I do like freshly grounded white pepper and my salt often comes with flavoring – either lemon or herbs. Actually, you can do your own with dried herbs and zests and keep it in a tiny mason jar. It will add an original flavor to your meals, salads, patties or breads alike.
