I tried a lot of recipes, including Buttermilk Biscuits you will find here too but sour cream biscuits are my favorite. They're easy to make just before a meal but you can also make them and warm them again in the microwave for 10s or freeze them and thaw them a couple hours before using.
For 12 biscuits:
2 cups flour, sifted
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream (one cup heavy cream whisked with 1 tsp lemon juice)
4 Tbsp milk
Mix with the flat dough hook of the kitchenaid. Knead on a dusted surface 8 to 10 times. Make the dough thick (about one inch) and shape into balls. Bake for 8 mn at 425°F.
Make more and freeze them then thaw for a few hours at room temperature and warm in the microwave for about 20s.
