December is over, the old year has passed.
At midnight we honor the New Year at last.
Intentions to follow....and resolutions
We've holiday-ed well and had too much fun.
So drink up tonight and celebrate the new day.
"We're starting over!" "New beginnings!" ~ we say.
Our life has changed in so many more ways,
Since three hundred and sixty-four older days.
Happy New Year.
The city lights twinkle, they sparkle and shine.
And glow even warmer with good friends and wine.
The 12 months of memories; the days flew so fast.
We look to the future and let go of the past.
So drink up tonight and celebrate the new day.
We're counting down and time and time is ticking away to that stroke of midnight
The thrill in the air.
All over the world from Big Ben to Times Square.

After receiving some e-mail from Spain and some letters from the States we got mails from 2 new correspondants from Finland and Italy.
The last letters from Ireland have just reached us.

Shakespeare has topped a list of what makes people feel proud to be British.
He beat the Queen, the Union Jack and The Beatles to the number one spot in a new survey.
So CBBC asked British children what makes them feel proud to be British - and you can read them here!
No you can tell me what make you feel proud to be French.

Massive volcano erupts in Democratic Republic of Congo
A volcanic eruption in Central Africa could be the biggest in 100 years.
Experts say the Nyamulagira volcano in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been shooting lava 400m into the sky.
That's lava shooting up even higher than New York's Empire State Building!
So far there's no danger to the people living in the nearby town of Goma.
Park rangers have even set up a camp so tourists can enjoy the fireworks from a safe distance!
Kenny the specialist will have heard about it. I'm waiting for his comments and for others.

A good site to practise with the Simpsons.
Then you can tell me about your family.
For the 4th forms don't forget to tell me what they do and like.Practice the last lesson and write what you'd like them do to and what they want you to do.
By the way, question for the champions how does Holmer say "oh! Pinaise!" in english ?
