Rafael Nadal wins the French Open for the ninth time

Rafael Nadal has won his ninth French Open title after beating Serbia's Novak Djokovic.

The world number one won in four sets 3-6 7-5 6-2 6-4 in a final that lasted more than three hours in hot conditions.

He's the first man ever to win a major title nine times, taking his Grand Slam total to 14.

The victory also means he will stay as world number one ahead of Djokovic, who's ranked number two.

At the start of the match it was Djokovic who started off stronger, taking the first set but he couldn't find a way to beat Nadal.

"It was an emotional day. I have tried with all my power, my strength, my capacities but Rafa was the strongest on court," Djokovic said.

"In matches like this every moment is crucial. Playing against Novak is always a big challenge, I had lost against him the last four times," Nadal said on court.

"I feel sorry for him today, he deserves to win this tournament."

Former troops, cadets and serving members of the armed forces will parade in Portsmouth.

In France, the Prince of Wales is to attend a memorial service to mark the taking of the strategic Pegasus Bridge, captured by British troops minutes after landing.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will mark the D-Day anniversary during a state visit to France which begins later today in Paris. They'll attend an international service of commemoration attended by royals, presidents and prime ministers.

For the frogs lovers

Rare frog reclassified as 'living fossil'

A species of frog which until recently was thought to be extinct has been reclassified as a 'living fossil'.

The painted hula frog hadn't been seen for nearly 60 years until 2011 when one was found lurking in a swamp in Israel.

Scientists found that the creature belongs to a group of animals which died out 15,000 years ago.

Even before it was declared extinct in 1996, the hula painted frog was very difficult to find.

Despite its distinctive black-and-white-spotted belly, only three adults had ever been seen.

But two years ago, the frog was spotted by a park ranger, and since then another 13 have been found.

A frog which can hear with its mouth

Scientists think they've discovered a tiny species of frog that's able to hear with its mouth!

Gardiner's frogs are able to 'talk' to each other even though they don't have a middle ear or eardrum to hear sound.

Researchers found they have special mouths that resonate with the high-pitched sounds made by other frogs, transmitting them to their brains.

Scientists hope that they can study the way these unique frogs hear, to help in the treatment of deaf people.

Advice and tips for kids on how to deal with stress

Hundreds of kids say they're losing out on sleep because they're worrying about things like exams, bullying or family problems, according to a survey.

More than half said they felt stressed at least once a week. Many said they struggle to get to sleep, miss meals or stop seeing friends because of how they feel.

Children were most likely to worry about tests and exams (57%), followed by family problems - like their parents splitting up - (31%) and being bullied at school or a club (30%).

Tips to help you if you feel stressed

  • Do some type of exercise such as walking, playing sport or dancing.
  • Do something relaxing - like having a warm bath or watching your favourite film.
  • Take a break from school work to do something you enjoy like listening to music or reading a good book.
  • Breathing exercises - take long slow depth breaths in through your nose and out from your mouth. Lying down with your eyes shut can make these exercises more relaxing.
