Méthodologie pour l'épreuve de compréhension écrite du bac

I found some useful article on the Internet revolving around how to better one's odds at doing good when taking your written comprehension exam, that's why I decided to share it with you below, hoping it will be of great help.

Adopter une démarche rigoureuse et organisée de lecture vous permettra d’apporter des réponses claires et précises aux questions qui vous seront posées.Méthodologie
1- Lisez attentivement le texte dans sa totalité sans vous arrêter sur les mots inconnus. Cette première lecture doit vous permettre de :- dégager le thème principal du texte
- identifier la nature, la source, l’auteur et la date du texte
- répondre aux questions Qui ?, Quoi ?, Où ?, Quand ?, Comment ?, Pourquoi ?
2- Lisez les exercices afin d’orienter votre seconde lecture du texte. Il peut être utile de prêter attention au(x) sujet(s) d’expression écrite afin de définir la portée générale du texte.
3- Lisez une deuxième fois le texte de façon plus active en repérant :
- les mots de liaison, la ponctuation qui vous permettront d’en déterminer la structure
- les mots-clés qui vous permettront d’une part, de dégager les idées directrices du texte et d’autre part, de répondre aux questions. Ce repérage pourra aussi être utile pour l’exercice de rédaction
- les mots permettant de dégager le point de vue de l’auteur (adverbes, adjectifs, verbes de sentiments…)
4- Devant un mot inconnu qui vous semble important, aidez-vous du contexte pour en trouver le sens et/ou « décortiquez-le » afin de retrouver une racine que vous connaissez. Les questions qui vous sont posées peuvent également vous aider dans cette démarche.
5- Rédigez vos réponses aux questions dans un anglais correct et personnel, sans faire de paraphrase. N’oubliez pas de mettre les citations entre guillemets ni de les repérer à l’aide des numéros de lignes.
6- Enfin, vérifiez que vous avez répondu à toutes les questions et relisez vos réponses.

What/Who do the following nouns/pronouns/adjectives refer to ? ==> A quoi/qui font référence les noms/pronoms/adjectifs Suivants ?
What may have happened before/may happen after ? ==> Qu’a-t-il pu se passer avant? Que pourrait-il se passer après ?

Wheel of Notions
Hello to all of you,
As I'm sure you're working hard on your presentations and the learning of all the knowledge acquired in class, I decided to let you spin the "Wheel of Notions" you can see below. You know, on the day of the exam, you will have to pick one of the notions randomly (either SEATS AND FORMS OF POWER or IDEA OF PROGRESS or MYTHS AND HEROES/SPACES AND EXCHANGES***). The system is quite the same here... You spin the wheel and you prepare your presentation on your notion. Don't forget to time your presentation to check whether it lasts about five minutes (not one second more !)
As Master Yoda would say, "May the force be with you, little Padawan(s)!"
***Even if here the wheel displays four choices of notions, don't forget that on D-Day you will have the choice working either on MYTHS AND HEROES or SPACES AND EXCHANGES, were you to draw the paper with those two notions.
Planning épreuves orales
Bonjour à tous,
Comme promis je vous poste ci-joint le document Passages_oraux_bac_2018.docx tel qu'il m'a été envoyé il y a quelques semaines. Je ne peux vous assurer qu'il s'agit de la version officielle, mais quoi qu'il en soit, vous devriez recevoir dans les jours à venir une convocation officielle.
Le tableau affiche vos LV1 et LV2, le jour de vos passages, les salles d'examens ainsi que quatre horaires pour chacune de vos épreuves.
Voici à quoi ces horaires correspondent:
- le premier: heure de convocation
- le deuxième : heure du début de la préparation (10 minutes avant le passage à l'oral)
- le troisième : heure du passage à l'oral
- le quatrième: heure de fin de l'épreuve.
Pourriez-vous, s'il vous plaît, communiquer l'information à ceux qui, vous pensez ne consulteront ni le blog ni leurs boîtes mails ?

The instruction is quite easy: pair up with a classmate. Watch the video again WITHOUT THE SOUND and imagine the argument between Jess and her mother (to be found below in another article) before performing it in front of the class on Friday 11th May (day on which you must hand in the investigation file of your Whodunnit investigation by the way). The scene must last 3 minutes at least.
