Paralympic Champions

22octobre

The document you will find attached gathers the short sport biographies of the four paralympic champions we studied in class - Trischa Zorn, Chantal Petitclerc, Natalie Dutoit and Lee Pearson.

You can also download the grid you had to fill in in class to recap the information collected about these four athletes.

Working on this particular aspect showed that sport can integrate people who might feel put aside

Dear students ,

Let me remind you of your homework for next time (which is also to be found on Pronote):

WRITTEN PRODUCTION: You work for Belfast's tourist office. Your boss asked you to write a paragraph (70-80 words) on a precise sight to visit in Belfast. Do it on a sheet of paper, not on your copybook!

To help you do it, you can take a look at the Powerpoint presentation I attached and search for information on the Internet. But don't you dare copy/paste content directly !

Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream speech"

10septembre

As we mentioned it in class, here is the link to the best-known speech in history. A powerful oration in which Minister Martin Luther King Jr explains his ideal society,  where people would not "be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character".
This is a discourse urging civilians to join his fight to end racial segregation.
