To my mind, media shapes culture and refects it. Even if they make sure to only show what people want, a part of what they broadcast is true. Indeed, take example with "Les anges", in this reality show, the media show us largely that the candidates are only quarrelling between them and that they are, for the greater part, superficial. On the other side, some medias show us that some candidates have concrete projects and are not superficial at all.

 I think this contributes a little bit to the Americanization of other societies indeed.
It's just the same scheme as Coca-cola's and Mcdonald's mondialization if you think about it: people are watching it (in this case) because it's an idea directly imported from the most powerful as well as most influencing country in the world. History is telling you the truth , so it's not really a new thing there.

But on the other side, I think that even though this idea was mostly from the US, other countries can still be quite original and get off of this "Americanization" thing: for example, what we studied in class, "The Big Donor Show".
It's actually from The Netherlands, it's very original, it was talking about a quite shocking subject and yet in the end it gave a strong message to people.
Well, this is the kind of show which isn't counted in the "Americanization" category, as it is unique in it's kind.
Meanwhile, many pointless/ time-killing TV shows are created because of this idea from the US and lots of people are watching it, but we just need to remember that there always are a few exceptions about everything in the world, even about TV shows.

From my point of vue, medias shape culture and merely reflect it beaucause sometimes medias say wrong informations for exemple in TV reality shows the producers manadge what they want to make the show more mezmerizing and catch the audience to win more an more money.
From an other side the most often they just accentuate the tentions between the differents contestants and after we can see when contestant have make affinity, after the show they carry on to see them. So there is a part of verity and a part of lie.

I don't think that a show like "Teen Mom" could be as successful in France as in the US, because the system is not the same in this two countries. In France we have a sexual education that US haven't. In France, being pregnant at sixteen is not well seen, because of the education we got, so doing a show such as Teen Mom will not be successful and it will seem strange, weird. For other countries, I don't know if it could be successful or not, because I don't know their system and their education.

I think that the TV show no reflete that a small part of the culture of the country, on the other hand it creates fashions, certain even allows to reflect even if they are sometimes one can be stupid we can reflect in their purpose. We can asserted only the media Cree the culture because his utility broadcast this culture.

I think the TV shows can contribute at the social evolution because different show passe a message at the population, like the big donor show teaches at people that they must give them organs.
However, other show used the sadness of contestants for earn money, like who's your daddy because channel buy this show while the program is horrible.

I agree with it because I think that adults do or say things that children shoud'nt do or say, but children always reproduce what parents do because they are their models. For the reality shows I suppose it's kind of diferent; the reality celebrities are famous, their lives, seem interesting and fun, it's why the youth do the same things that them and want to be like them. In fact we saw and believe things producers want us to.

To my mind I don't think that Teen Mom could be successful in France as in the US because in France there are others shows like "Secret Story", "Les Chtis","Koh-Lanta" which catch more attention. Teenagers just want to be popular with the fastest way and Teen Mom is not enough famous compared to Secret Story. This is why Teen Mom is doomed to failure... because of others shows which have the field of the top.
In my opinion I think that each show reflect the culture of his country and this is why all show except some shows like "The Voice" couldn't be successful.

To my mind, the reality show does not really exist. It's like a film, everything is scripted and "actors" recite text. There's no impact on our daily lives. I think it is rather a concept that aims to make the most possible audience. In fact, the reality shows are created for one only purpose; that the viewer feeling superior, side of contestants,to make many view and sell most expensive advertising possible.

I don't see it that way. Reality Tv shows probably don't contribute to a social evolution of our society. They rather participate to a social changing of our society because most of them are void of meaning and laughable, so they don't give a profitable impact on our social life in the society. However some tv shows do contribute to the social evolution of a society such as the Big Donor Show. Concerning the economical evolution, this time, I agree. Indeed, most of the reality Tv shows are successful, so they bring money to broadcast channels and their producers thanks to the viewers. The impact of the tv shows on our society and her evolution depends on the type and the success of the programm which is aired

Idon't agree with this topic because TV shows exaggerate our society by doing very strange things to participants (ex with teen mom). Reality TV is just a way to entertain and won self-esteem. Our culture isn't reflected through TV shows!
Finally, I would say that Reality shows make the man smug,extremely weak...

TV reality shows are used to describe individuals lives. If the concept came from the US, I believe it won't represent real country's habits. I believe it would represent more American's habits than others. To my mind, if most TV shows are importated from the US, it is because we don't know how to make one or it's because we think Americans are the best to do it. At last, it is the same, because we all watch American TV shows, even if we don't know it, and we want to do the same things as the participants, but these ones are inspired by Americans. Eventually, viewers act like the participants so they do like Americans so I agree with it, TV shows contribute to the Americanization of other societies.
