The Scottish Referendum

The results of the Scottish referendum :

two opposite reactions.

The two documents are from a website, this website is the BBC.

The BBC is the British national media (with TV channels and Radio stations) this page is about the British news and more specifically about the Scottish news.

This page was captured on September, 19th 2014.

On September 18th, 2014 the Scots voted for or against the independence of Scotland.

Scotland has voted to stay in the United Kingdom with England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

2,001,926 voted against the independence and 1,617,989 for the independence.

On the first document we can see a lot of people inside a  large room. It looks like a disco. They are laughing, screaming with their arms up. They look very happy, they are supporters of the “no “vote and they won. They are celebrating their victory.

On the second document, we can see a few people outside in the street they all have the Scottish flag around them and one man is sitting on the floor in the middle of dirty papers and empty bottles. He looks very sad, he is crying. These people are very sad because they support the “yes” vote and they lost.
