On Thursday, December the 11th we saw a musical named « An American in Paris ».

This is the story of two american soldiers and a french man who are in love with the same french girl. The three men don't know that. Lise is this girl. She is a dancer and she works to Galeries Lafayette.

The first soldier is Jerry, he is a painter and he wants to become famous. He lives with Milo, a rich american in Paris.

The second american is Adam and he is a pianist. He met Lise when she danced to an audition.

Henri is french and he is fiance with Lise.

All the men met in a cafe and they became friends. Jerry follow Lise all the time. He would like to become his boyfriend. She says no but she accepts a date with him.

Lise is attached to Henri because he saved her life when there was the second world war !

One day, the three men are talking about their love for a girl but they don't know that it's Lise. When she danced at a ballet, she saw them together and she didn't know what to do. After that she goes to talk with each of them. They congratulate her.

Jerry, Adam and Henri realised that they love the same woman.

Jerry explains to Milo that he's in love with Lise and leaves her. Henri proposes Lise. Adam is disappointed because Lise doesn't love him.

At the end, Lise and Jerry kiss each other.

This musical will take place in Broadway !

The 4D thanks Miss Tronquet for organising this project.

Et voici les avis de la classe sur le spectacle:

I love this musical. There are lots of dialogues and not enough dances and music. The musical comedy was long and some parts were boring. The dancing moments were beautiful. I think the comedians worked very hard to reach this level. I found the story very complicated. But the actors are very beautiful and the dancers are very good. Lise (one of the main character) has a beautiful « coup de pied ». I love ballet !

Marie and Carla

This night was great ! I think the show is amazing ! Everything, either the singers or the dancers, was perfect ! They were great because the show was funny everytime the actors said jokes.

Cyprien

It was a good musical with a nice story but it was a bit long and a bit boring. The actors were really talented because they could act and dance really well. It was good because it was funny, there were lots of jokes.

Shanil

I liked the musical but I think it was very long, too long ! I prefered the second part because there were more songs and dancers. I think the american opinion about the French is strange.

Camille

It’s a very beautiful theater play but I would change the dances because it’s boring, otherwise it was good. It’s the first time I’ve seen a musical and I liked it.

I enjoyed the show. It was really awesome. I think that the dancers were impressive. It was great because we saw the dancers and the singers but also the conductor with all the instruments. This is a beautiful story.

Nawel

The musical was great ! I enjoyed watching the show but it was often difficult to understand the show since it was in English. The conductor was not bad. I was not really fond of the musical
