Terminator is a cyborg from an apocalyptic future designed to kill a woman in our time. The Terminator is an awesome and unavoidable action film.

It is the story of a woman of the end of the XXth century, Sarah Connor, who is the target of an assassin cyborg, the Terminator, of the future because she will be the mother of John Connor, the leader of the rebellion. In the future, the world is dominated by the smart computer Skynet and its robots minions like Terminator. Some humans create a rebellion led by John Connor and they wage war against robots. Skynet sends a Terminator, its best cyborg, in the 80’s to kill the mother of the man who winning the war, before his birth. Kyle Reese, a soldier of John Connor, goes to the 80’s to protect Sarah Connor.

The Terminator is a film with many qualities because there are guns and sex scenes like good American movies. This film is also a story with a lot of action, suspense and thrill. The story is captivating. There is rapid pacing that makes the movie more captivating. Specials effects are amazing and spectacular. Wounds and metallic parts of Terminator seem real. The soundtracks made a haunting and thrilled atmosphere that is very suitable for this film.

This movie has some negative elements because the antagonist is more masculine than the hero, Kyle Reese. The movie is also rather creepy and gory like one of the scenes when the Terminator cut his flesh to repair his arm. There are excessive violence and terror because the Terminator fights and kills many defenseless men and women. Guns are very present but there is no explosion at all.

Actors are all awesome. Arnold Schwarzenegger is perfect in the role of a robot assassin that requires only a few dialogs. He seems really bad with his inexpressive face and his sunglasses. I was thrilled by the ruthless and cold face of Terminator. His moves are also impressive because he looks quiet and like a robot but he is very reactive and strong. However this amazing character can seem awful for sensitive audience because he is very violent.

Linda Hamilton is a great actor. She has the role of Sarah Connor and she looks like a credible terrified and troubled victim. Kyle Reese is a mysterious character who seems to be a qualified and committed soldier. To my mind he is a very interesting character.

It seems to me that this movie is an amazing action film with many qualities and wonderful actors. I personally think that Terminator is one of the best films ever.
