The hype around this film was very big, and I haven't been disapointed. This episode is probably the best to me, those who liked Quantum of Solace and Casino Royal will love Skyfall. 

In this new opus James Bond will be one more time in the heat of action. 007 is a secret agent of the MI6, the best agent.But this time it's personal. A hard drive that contain a lists of all NATO operative undercover in terrorist organisation is stolen, and used against M, the MI6's head . James will be tested when his and M past catch them. 007 has to find the culprit in a exciting chase in order to stop him. Who's behind all this ? What's the tie between them ?

 

Skyfall_Manor

Sam Mendes offers us again an opening with a lot of action but this time an unexpected development which is troubling for the spectator. To my mind James Bond past is lacking in the other film. Skyfall is telling us a little bit more about it. I was impressed by the opening it has been meticulously choosed, it set up the mood in a couple of minute. Of course the usual James Bond theme is there. Thomas Newman did a great job here.

The choice of the usual Bond great enemy is a little bit disappointing. I don't remember him appearing in another film. The character himself deserve to exist but there's no impact when he appear for the first time. Thing are done the way for us to think « Wow so it's HIM ! » but it's more like « Wow...who's he ? ».

Daniel Craig remains Bond incarnate, an agent calm in every situation, a gentleman, and a unrivalled killer, nothing more to say with the excellent developement of this character. Same goes for M, Judi Dench represent the MI6 head master since a long time ago and a sort of a motherly role for James. Like I said before the role of their enemy is disapointing in a way but he match as Bond rival, composed, terrifyingly powerfull, but this goes with madness, he is unpredictable.

It's a beautiful film enhanced by the soundtrack and actors who perfectly fit their roles. Follow James Bond in a captivating chase. Two hours of pure pleasure.
