I French ads.
1) Zinedine Zidane
He's a famous soccer player and as he has retired, he has a lot advertising contracts. I've chosen this photo because it illustrates well advertising strategies in France. This company, Groupe Générali uses a famous sportman to tell us what their aim is. Here it's an ecological message. ( Aurélien )
Sébastien Chabal
This photo shows a famous rugby player practising his sport with a suit. It's strange but the message in this ad is “Pour un Homme” ; this man looks like a real man, sporty but well dressed. So we can imagine that if you use this perfume, you're a man, a real one .. ( Hugo )
Gaël Monfils.
This photo is not an ad, but we can see two brand names on it, Nike an Exxon. Those brands use a match to advertise their companies, this sportman is wearing Nike clothes and everybody can see it. This strategy is called Sponsoring. ( Sébastien )
4. Laure Manaudou.
This ad is about a luxury company and this company has chosen to use a famous swimmer to show that even if a girl is sporty, she could be totally feminine.
II Canadian Ads :
1) Basket Ball team.
In this picture we can see, the same marketing strategy as with Gael Monfils but this time made by Adidas. The basket-ball players are dressed by Adidas and you can obviously see it.
2) Ice Hockey.
This is the same strategy as with Gaël Monfils and so, we can say that Canada and France's company has the same strategy. Such an interessting thing..
What we think about champions and advertising in General
We think that,if you sign an advertising contract with a big and famous company, you can earn a lot of money so it's a good thing
but champions are sometimes over-exposed.
