Jane Austen Festival

Are you a fan of Jane Austen? We are! So, if you have the opportunity to go to Bath, we recommend you to attend the spectacular Festival about the famous writer Jane Austen.

It takes place each year in September, from the 14^th to the 23^rd. During these ten days, you can dress up like people in the 18^th/19^th century. You also have access to the eighty amazing events like all the hundreds of enthusiasts of Jane Austen.

There are plays, dance workshops, gatherings to talk about food and fashion in the 18^th century, public readings and also bus and walking tours of Austen sites. Among all these amusements, the one that attracts the most people is the Grand Regency Costumed Promenade.

The different events occur in historic venues around the city and mythical places such as Bath Abbey and the Pump Rooms.

 The festivalgoers are not obliged to come accompanied to feel the spirit of the festival.

Finally, having fun, meeting and making new friends are the watchwords of the event and this is what the Festival is all about. So, we are waiting for you!
