Her real name is Augello-Cook but her artist name is Alicia Keys. She was born on January the twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty-one in New-York City.

She can play the piano and she can act and  dance, among other things. She graduated at the Professional Performing Art School. She played in many movies like « Nanny Diaries » and  « the Secret Life of Bees ». She is a poet and a singer too. A few of her famous songs are « Girl on Fire » and « No one ». Alicia Keys sold more than two million albums so she became the best-selling artist in two thousand and one. Moreover, she received five Grammy Awards in one year.  She wrote soundtracks for « Dr DooLittle 2 » and « Shaft ». She also directed the film « Five ».

Apart from that, she is married to a rapper and then they had two sons.
