Original text by Roald Dahl

As soon as Wolf began to feel

That he would like a decent meal,

He went and knocked on Grandma's door.

When Grandma opened it she saw

The sharp white teeth, the horrid grin,

And Wolf ate her in one big bite.

But Grandma wasn't good to eat,

And Wolfie became really sick.

He thought he was going to hell,

Then he blacked out then tripped and fell.

In came the little girl in red.

She stopped. She stared. And then she said:

"What an idiot, now he is sick !"

"I'm gonna enjoy killing it !"

But, suddently, the forest guards,

Arrived right from Scotland yard.

They were in a good meeting,

But the alarm started to ring

So they had to come here,

To stop this dirty crime.

They claimed the right to arrest her,

Because killing wolves is forbidden.

"It's a protected animal", they said,

"Canines aren't a lot today."

The girl had to pay a bill,

So she gave her butter, no money.

The guards weren't happy about this,

That's why they put her in  prison,

The wolf was taken to a hospital,

And the guards left, proud,

Of their succesfull mission.
