INTRODUCTION :

In five years, the number of homeless has doubled in the UK. Of the 320,000 homeless, most sleep in emergency accommodation.

Today there are nearly 320,000 homeless people in England in the streets.

Many associations have been created to fight against poverty and help people in need.

There are in particular the associations Crisis, Action Hunger, Shelter, The Big Issue, Foundation, CentrepointDepaul UK, St Mungo’s, The Salvation Army, Emmaus UK, Homeless Link, Streetlink and the association of assistance to the SDF Shelter. .

The latter has also recently requested the creation of more social housing in the country.

In 2017, nearly 600 homeless people died on the streets of Britain, an increase of 24% in five years, which is still considerable.

As the world’s hunger specialist, the primary goal of these associations is to create a better way to deal with hunger. For more than 40 years, we have led the global movement that aims to end life-threatening hunger for good within our lifetimes. They have been treating and preventing malnutrition and homless across more than 45 countries.

They save the lives of children and their families, or even solitary people. They help enable people to provide for themselves, see their children grow up strong, and for whole communities to prosper. They constantly search for more effective solutions, while sharing our knowledge and expertise with the world. We push for long-term change.
