Canada is a country in the north of America. The name “Canada” likely comes from the Huron-Iroquois word “kanata,” meaning “village” or “settlement”.
THE FLAG OF CANADA:
The official colours of Canada would be the red of the cross of St-George and the white of the French Royal Emblem. The maple and the maple leaf are one of the symbols of Canada.
It has a population of 37,59 million last year. Its surface area is 9.985 million km². Three of its cities have a population of more than one million : Toronto, Montréal and Calgary. Its capital is Ottawa, which has a population of over 900,000. Canada's coastline is the most long in the world and the second most rich after Australia. The country is a constitutionnal monarchy which the monarch is the head of state (Elizabeth II). The faun is very rich there : beavers, bears, lynx... The climate of Canada is quite harmonious with cold winters and between mild and warm summers.
THE DIFFERENT LANGUAGES:
The two official languages in Canada are english and french. French is mostly spoken in Quebec.
