The movie we saw with « lycéen au cinéma » is called The missing Picture (l’image manquante) , and has been created by Rithy Pahn in 2014. The story is about a man, Rithy Pahn, who survived the Khmer Rouge (1951-1999), which was a communist cambodian genocide directed by Pol Pot. So he decided to tell us what really happened at this time. He said himself that when you are a survivor, you have to tell the truth. The other people didn’t know what was really happening during this period in Cambodia. This is an important and intense message to the rest of the world.

His movie is a mix between clay figures and archives videos. He used clay because clay come from the earth, and that’s a kind of symbol.
