Let’s me introduce karate:

Well…  Everybody knows the famous movie « Karate kids », but reality is very different. You can’t jump so high and the training is less hard than you might think.  There are so many old clichés about karate. For example when I say « I practice karate », people usually startle and tell me « please don’t hit me!! ». What can I say about this subject?? This cause is desperate. Imagine!!! Moreover I have got my black belt. People keep a distance with me. No, it’s a joke!!! To clear any misunderstanding, I will tell you how karate works.

You will learn the different rules of karate; the different kinds of karate and what can you do if you want to try this activity.

First, there are different karate rules.

There are hygiene rules. You must bring a kimono which is the traditional uniform. You have to cut your nails to have a respectable length. If you don’t, you will have Bilbo’s feet. And the last one, if you have a verruca you must wear socks if you don’t want to contamine the other.

There are basic rules. So, each training begins and finishes by a salute and a short meditation. In the past, the training began by the kihon which is a sequence of movements followed by katas. A kata is an invisible battle and the last one is bunkai. It’s an application of kata.

How can you take level?

The different belts are white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown and black. The weakest belt is the white one whereas the strongest belt is the black one. You take an examination in front of your teacher.

Competition

There are competitions for katas and also for battles. The point of a competition for katas is to win as many flags as possible. You do your kata then, referees judge you. Before your round, you shake so much. Trust me. The point of a competition for battle is to win some points to touch your opponents with different techniques. However, you mustn’t hurt your opponent even if you want to.

Conclusion

To conclude karate is an activity which teaches you how to defend yourself. Moreover it teaches you different rules for instance respect of myself and the others. Then I think that karate helped me to handle any unexpected problems. So why don’t you try it?
