Our first Job Shadowing activity within our Erasmus + KA 104 project took place in Limours, France, at the Lycée Jules Verne, during November 2019.

The main aim of these types of activities is to observe innovative and motivating educational practices. And so it was.

The visit and observation at the Lycée Jules Verne was very well organized and coordinated by Mademoiselle Altibelli, who designed an agenda full of interesting activities focused on learning first-hand, on-site, the development of English classes with various groups, as well as the organization of the Lycee, the spaces and teaching resources used. We were especially struck by the use of a virtual learning environment, accessible to the entire educational community, highly functional and offering countless applications and advantages at the methodological level.

On the other hand, we were surprised by the design of the Lycée himself due to its great functionality and the excellent use made of the different spaces.

One of the welcome activities that caught our attention the most was a treasure hunt designed by language students, using Actionbound, to get to know the Lycée, the town and its historical and cultural context, being fun and motivating and an excellent resource to be taken into consideration.

The Lycée and its students participate in numerous European projects, both at Erasmus + and eTwinning levels. We were able to learn more about one of those that was being carried out at that time: Juvenes Translatores, which we found very motivating and interesting for the students.

Special mention should also be made of the innovative use of the center's library and the figure of the librarian, who is responsible for organizing, motivating, guiding and advising the various groups in the search, organization and use of information.

We also had the opportunity to visit the Educatec Educatice educational fair in Paris, where we were able to see the technological development of the educational sector and the innumerable applications and programs focused on improving both the methodology and the resources.

We also had the opportunity to learn more about the French educational system in an interview with the Lycée management team, who explained many aspects of it to us in detail. It was interesting to be able to contrast the numerous differences between their educational system and our own.

As a conclusion, we can affirm that the observation visit to the Lycée Jules Verne was a great experience that we will remember and for which we are grateful to all the staff, especially to Mademoiselle Altibelli, that made us feel at home.
