SKINHEAD MUSIC

I remember when I was keed I seen a Strange kind of people, with strange style, strange music, strange philosophy, sometimes they were fighting, they were drinking or smoking and dancing, sometimes they were fighting with other people. So I asked to my mom who  were this people, she said "They are Skinhead, don't talk with dem, they are crazy !". So as each kid I wanted to do everything that I don't have to do. Given my passion to the music I decided to listened some skinhead music, by seeking I've known that there's two kind of music inside of this movement : 

The ska

The ska is an Jamaican music, a mix of Blues, Jazz and caribean music like mento and calypso. You can recognize this music by a speed conter rythm markes by the guitar or the organ, and melodic copper. The ska was  imported by the jamaican migrant who were among the first skinhead, we don't have to forget that Skinhead movement is an evolution of the Mods movement and the Mods loved the black music like the soul and the blues, the ska is derived from the blues and the soul. The Skinhead are rebel so they want to listen rebel music, Ska is a rebel music.  Jamaican Ska and English Ska are the same music but you can hear some difference, the jamaican Ska is more a Natural Beat and less electronic than the English Ska.

The Ska is not the only music of the Skinhead until the eightees, when a schism seperates the Skinhead movement in three principal Branch : 

Apolitical Skinhead : They just love the Reggea, the Ska and dancing, they don't do any                                 difference between the diferent people.

Antifa Skinhead : They fight the racist crew, with the same method of them : violence.

Neo-Nazi Skinhead (Bone Head): He fight, hurt,  rape, steal, the foreign people, and love Mussolini, Hitler and Franco.

This schism carry on the skinhead movement to a new kind of Music.

Oi!

Oi! Music is derived from punk and ska music, with a big distortion on the rythm guitar, a bass, and speed and violent drums, with regae guitar lead. This kind represent very well the new skinhead movement, cause he's violent in the lyrics and the instrumental, and frequently with political lyrics. The lyrics varie by the political way.

So we can say that there's two kind of skinhead music : the ska and the Oï own to the two different Skinhead way, the ska a music imported by the Jamaican migrant wich is cool and calm, and the Oï music which is Violent and extremist.
