Famous Artist of Pop Art :

Andy Warhol :

Andy Warhol (1928-1987), most bigger artist of the 20th century, was leading figure of Pop Art. His art has many forms : painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, film and music.

He becames a maniac (self-) portrait !

"There is always a contradiction beacause I'm shy and yet I love to take all the place. The notoriety is like eating peanuts : when you start you can not stop.", he said. the self-portrait is the consecration of the notoriety.

Repetition of the image !

"If I paint this way is because I want to be a machine and I think everything I do as a machine is what I want to do"(Andy Warhol)

In the Andy Warhol's paintings, we find often soup's can repetition. The soup's cans are the main meat of the modest population because there are not expensive. So maybe Andy has been an traumatism in his childood because of this he was probably eat soup every night and therefore seemed like endless.

Roy Lichtenstein :

I like

Keith Haring :

Keith Haring (1958 -1990)

I took this photo with my friends before to show that the Keith Haring's paintings are huge. I know that Keith was his paintings of the time without making a sketch in advance, what impresses me. I admire this artist and everything he did. These paintings are truly wonderful. they can be funny if we look at the first glance but in fact they expriments something as deep as the fight against AIDS ..., against several for which it is committed.

This painting call the "beaming baby" and it symbolizes life, hapiness and hope but this is not why I like it, it reminds me of one of my friends.

Kenny Scharf :

When I look at this painting I see many angry spermatozoïdes, maybe they can't find the egg. Normaly spermatoïds are white them are black : they symbolize the destruction, the life destruction. The world is in trouble and them too ! but this is just funny analysis that may at first glance and without much do great ideas.

Shepard Fairey :

I choose this painting because I have the same (with my portrait) in my bedroom. It's make me thing the kindness (blue) and the evil (red) that humans have in them.
