The
story is based on a man, Paul
Edgecomb, who
was a
prison
officier in
charge of death
row. One day of 1935, John
Coffey, convicted of raping and
killing two young white girls, arrives in the block E of the prison.
John Coffey is shy and afraid paradoxically at his bodily and his
crime. Is he really guilty ?
The
plot revolves around affection of John Coffey and Paul Edgecomb,
Coffey has a particularity into his body, What it is ? Suspens...
This movie is execptional, it can change your mood in a few seconds. The story is simply unbelievable, at the same time affectinf and appaling. The contrast between the physical and the nature of John Coffey is phenomenal and magnificently played well.
In negative things I reckon there are obscene scenes wich make the movie not suitable for everyone (Rated R).
To my mind I like characters because they are spectacular, every character play absolutely well his part. In particular Michael Clarke Duncan, A LEGEND ! Feelings are well expressed through out characters wich makes of this movie is a classic of cinema.
The audience prefered characters like
John Coffey, Paul Edgecomb or Brutus Howell and disliked characters
like William "Billy the Kid" Wharton or Percy Wetmore. I
suggest strongly to Watch The Green Mile because it's a legend of
cinema. The actors are absolutely incredible, the script is perfect
and the direction is fabulous. All this brought at the audience a
new element for their personal culture and give feelings rarely felt
during a movie.
I assigned at The Green Mile the rating of 5/5.
