Environmental protection is taken very seriously in Sweden. Sweden continues to make progress in the environmental field thanks to the creation of the environment code. This law establishes courts and specific penalties for environmental matters. Moreover, the authorities have applied a policy of accountability rather than repression. The law allows everyone to walk wherever they want and the main condition is to respect the whole environment. In many areas, fishing is unregulated. The Swedish people take great care for their environment and thus degradations are rare.
