Welcome to Croatia

Croatia has been a country of Europe since 2013. This country has been independent since June 1991 and was part of Yugoslavia. It has more than 4 105 000 inhabitants who speak croatian and the money is the Kuna. It has an area of 56 594 km² including 31 000 km² of water and a form of a horseshoe. Its landscapes are mainly made of water in lakes and mountains along the coast of the Adriatic Sea with several climates. There are a lot of islands in this sea. Crotia has the same time zone than France.

Zagreb is the capital of Croatia and Split is the 3^rd biggest city of this country.

Split is a seaside town which has around 167 100 inhabitants living in an area of 63km². There are a lot of tourists in summer who visit famous monuments like Diocletian’s Palace and St Domnius’ cathedral.

The harbor of Split was founded by the Greeks in the 4^th century. 5 million passengers and 18 000 ships visit the port every year. The harbor of Split is the 3^rd biggest port of the Mediterranean Sea.
