It is one of the first examples of the Early English architecture. The cathedral has the highest church spire and the largest cloister in the United
Kingdom. The official name of Salisbury cathedral is the cathedral of Saint Mary. The construction began in 1220 and finished in 1320. The organ of the cathedral was made later by Henry Williams & sons in 1877.
The clock in Salisbury cathedral is probably the oldest working clock in the world. It dates from about 1386.

In the cathedral, there is an octogonal shaped room : the Chapter House where we can see a frieze that circles the interior of the room. It represents some passages of the Genesis, the Exodus, Adam and Eve, Noah and the tower of Babel.
