Salisbury is a cathedral city in Wiltshire in England, it's located ten kilometers from Stonehenge and it's the only cathedral city in the country.
The city was etablished in 1220. Its previous name was "New Sarum" because it was located next to "Old Sarum". Old Sarum was founded from the Iron Age (3000 years before Christ).
Salisbury cathedral was built from 1220 to 1320 and it's 123 metres high. The original name of Salisbury Cathedral is St-Mary. It has the the highest church spire in the United Kingdom, the largest cloister in England, and one of the 4 remaining original copies of the Magma Carta.

Next to Salisbury, Stonehenge, whose name means "suspended rocks", is a megalithic monument built from -2800 to -1100, from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age.
