No way Obama would ever make it. He may have been doing a great job, his popularity wasn't particularly high. And this is a 70 year old memorial, they wouldn't suddenly decide to add a face if not for something incredible.
Barack Obama could be chosen because he is a symbol. By symbol I mean that he represents an important evolution for the United States because he has been the first black president.
But in my opinion, his head would not be seen on Mount Rushmore because I think he hasn't done anything comparable to what those represented did.
Even if B. Obama is a great president I think that he can't be the 5th face of Mount Rushmore. He will surely go down in history because he is the first black president and because he etablished laws like marriage for all and programs like the Obamacare. But he didn't do things as important as the 4 heads already present on the Mount.
