Lou Reed & John Cale with their band the Velvet Underground, were greatly helped by Andy Warhol. He virtually launched them onto the musical scene. The band performed at the famous Factory, Warhol's headquarters, which was the artistic place to be mid-1960's.

When Warhol died in 1987, Reed & Cale composed a tribute album "Songs for Drella". Drella was the nickname given to Warhol by a friend of his and is the contraction of Dracula and Cindarella.
