DIALOGUES

Tom: “Hello Paul! How are you today?”

Paul: “Hi! I’m sad because holidays are over... and moreover, I have a sore throat.
I’m very tired... What about you?”
Tom: “I’m very well. I’m super excited about today!”
Paul: “How are you today Lucy?”
Lucy: “I’m extremely happy to meet our pen-friends again.”
Paul: “Yes, that’s great! And how is Bingo this morning? He doesn’t look good!” Tom: “No, he’s not!
This morning, he’s very sick!”

 

Tom: “Hello! How are you?”
Mbali: “Hello! I’m very well.”
Thando: “I’m fine! I love Fridays!”
Lucy: “What do you have on Friday?”
Thando: “On Friday morning, we have English and ICT. On Friday afternoon, we have art.”
Tom: “That’s nice! What’s your favourite subject?”
Thando: “Art. That’s why today, I’m very happy because I have art and I like it very much!
What about you Tom?”
Tom: “I love English because we read books and we write stories!” Thando: “What are your favourite
subjects Lucy?”
Lucy: “Maths and history. In maths, we work in pairs and we do exercises.
In history, we learn lessons about the Middle Ages... It’s fascinating!”

 

Mbali: “What’s in your schoolbag?”

Tom: “I have a folder, sheets of paper, a black and white pencil case, a calculator and a big agenda.
What about you, Mbali?”
Mbali: “I have a small notebook and a big purple pencil case!”
Mbali: “What’s in your pencil case?”
Lucy: “I have 2 pencils, 3 blue pens, a white ruler, some glue, a pair of scissors...”
Mbali: “Do you have a highlighter?”
Lucy: “No, I don’t. What do you have in your pencil case, Mbali?”
Mbali: “I have 2 blue pens, a red pen, a pencil, a small pencil sharpener,
a yellow highlighter and a usb flash drive.”

 

Thando: “I’d like to see more about your school. Can you send us some pictures?” Tom: “Yes, sure.

Thando: “My email address is thando73@myemail.com”
Tom: “Can you spell it please?”
Thando: “T.H.A.N.D.O.7.3.@myemail.com”
Lucy: “What’s your email address, Mbali?”
Mbali: “Mbalilittleflower24@myemail.com”
Lucy: “How many letters in your name? Can you spell it please?”
Mbali: “Yes. In Mbali, there are 5 letters... it’s M B A L I.”
Lucy: “Ok, perfect! Thank you!”
