Aphrodite of Milos by Nathan
1 02 2017I have chosen the Aphrodite of Milos (La Venus de Milo) which is to be seen in a famous museum in Paris the Louvres museum.
I have chosen this sculpture because it’s THE most famous one to my mind. We don’t know exactly who the sculptor was but people think that it’s Alexandros of Antioche. At first sight we could think that it is a violent or a shocking work of art because the sculpture has no arms.
Her arms were broken many years ago. When you see this sculpture it looks disturbing but when you look carefully at it it’s wonderful ! Each detail is a tour de force, a masterpiece. I remember when I saw it I was really fascinated by all de details.
