The second Spirit comes. He is the Ghost of Christmas present and he shows Scrooge how his employee, Bob Cratchit, happily spends Christmas with his family even if they're so poor they can't cure their son who may die because of a terrible disease. Despite (malgré) the fact they live in such miserable conditions, they cheerfully raise their glass to Scrooge. Scrooge sees how optimistic and grateful they are and he is ashamed because he realizes how much he could help them by being kinder and more generous.
